Silsbee cowboy lasso's 97-pound monster alligator

"It's perfect for the high fin blues and channels that we catch. The biggest blue cat I've ever caught there weighed 10 pounds. It's not unusual to catch them weighing 5 to 7 pounds." Chockie Nolen, of Silsbee, caught this huge alligator gar while catfishing with a rod and reel on the Neches River, below Town Bluff Dam, about a week ago. via The Beaumont Enterprise
